Our mission is to slow down fashion waste to give nature a fighting chance.

Emmi’s Label was started by Michelle Nguyen and born from a personal need to create fashion while respecting the planet by limiting as much waste as possible. As a regenerative label, Michelle uses second-hand textile and/or deadstock, in other words, resources that are readily available and would otherwise be considered waste.

Michelle's first attempt at a fashion brand used natural and biodegradable fabric, however, she still felt she was not being sustainable enough due the amount of leftover textile. There were a lot of materials that was still going to waste. When she started sourcing secondhand clothing she noticed a lot of items getting passed over. A lot! Especially really great quality men’s shirts, wool suits, beautiful curtains, and leftover fabric cuts (deadstock). She connected the two and began using these resources for her designs by turning them into beautiful garments.

As an all around sustainable company, all orders are shipped in more eco-friendly, recycled or biodegradable packaging to help minimize outputting harmful waste into the environment.
